I take my English Pointer puppy to April for one on one training and daycare. April has given me the information I need to train my puppy confidently. She understands high prey drive dogs and had given me advice I couldn't find in books or online. She is professional, competent, and trustworthy. She follows up on training sessions and is happy to provide feedback via email or phone after the fact. I can't say enough positives things about her!
When your old (ancient) dog spends her time in the house with April's family; and when they come home from a day/week at the kennel with nails clipped and a 'refresher' course on their obedience: you know you have an amazing person running this business! Training is done constantly and consistently. You and your dog get trained. It's all about the best for the dog here and it shows!

We have brought our dog to puppy class, obedience class and leash walking sessions. We have learned so much with April and she responds quickly to our questions through email. She is direct and honest and always has some great tips and pointers to give to help your dog behave ! :)
Great training! I took my puppy to April for puppy classes shortly after we got her. If you practice the skills she gives you, it's easy to have and maintain a well-mannered dog. While it's a group class, April is quite aware of the individual needs of each dog (and handler) in the class. Expect personalized suggestions and hands-on training. Given her familiarity with dogs, she's also keenly aware of other issues a new pet owner might not see (such as grooming tips to prevent mats or hot-spots). We have also visited the Howl a Day Inn for a grooming session. Our pup came home looking happy and clean, and the grooming looked fantastic. Absolutely would recommend April/Howl a Day Inn.
