I ordered numerous cubic yards of triple mix from Whitehead. It was delivered about a week ago. I put it in my raised gardens and a couple of days later it got about a one and a half to two inch hard crust on the top. Even when raked it is now full of hard, rock like chunks. I took pictures and sent it to them telling them that seedlings/seeds can not even be planted in this, and definitely will not grow as the crust is impenetrable. The person I was speaking with was extremely rude and will not refund. It took many, many hours to get the dirt into the raised gardens. Unfortunately this did not happen until all gardens were full. He is now ignoring all texts and communication. I wish I could post pictures of how bad this soil is. I took a sample to another garden center and they said in order to fix the dirt I have to spend another 160 to put stuff on top of it to add more moisture (manure, black earth and peat). They told me the soil had been overtilled and compacted prior to delivery. It was also full of weeds. His comments to me were that they've never had a problem before and that \Ya don't get to keep the product and get a refund this ain't a chhesburger from McDonald's\. But he sure did not offer to come and empty every raised garden. I would definitely avoid this company if possible.
