What can go wrong at value village? Hopefully nothing as it is all for charity. Employees always nice and friendly. Didnt realize that there was no change rooms, so was not able to buy anything. When i was on the way out, i was told by staff that i would be able to return products. Will definately return as so much to go through!

Value Village is a for profit thrift store chain that donates some of their earnings to charities. In general, their prices are much higher than other thrift stores. This particular location is one of the smaller and less organized ones. It always feels quite cramped and not as clean/tidy as other locations. Pricing is all over the place. I once found 2 identical items at this location with completely different prices.

DO NOT VISIT THIS VALUE VILLAGE IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT COVID!!! This particular location gets one star at the time of this posting and visit. (Sept 23, 5:45 PM) for the following reasons. As I was leaving the store I tried to get some hand sanitizer from the entrance and was PHYSICALLY blocked by a customer representative. Before she could actually touch me I put my hands up and moved away and was told there was sanitizer at the exit as well. I doubt head office would tell their CSR’s to put their hands on customers but if they did perhaps it should be considered a critical oversight that should be evaluated sooner rather than later. There are gentle reminders on the PA system reminding customers to keep their distance. As this was happening there was another customer that walked in without a mask. When another customer told the staff about this they brushed him off. I realize this sounds like another complaint review but please check the front cameras on the date listed above to check the veracity of this review. I wouldn’t waste my time if I didn’t feel like it was a genuine health concern and needs to be fixed. I’m more than happy to edit my review if changes are made. Value villages for the most part follow the same formula as a retail location. If you are looking for a good deal you’ll most likely find one. Just don’t come to this particular location if you value your health.

Excellent place to drop off non-perishables and old clothes etc. Very amiable staff. Plus they have bins outside the store to drop off your items, which is perfect during COVID.
