I'm happy to share this positive review as our family - two children and two grandparents have had years of positive experience with the school. Our children have taken Saturday morning classes with Mandarin Chinese school for the last three years. We have be continually satisfied by the quality of Mandarin instruction, professional teachers and challenging and engaging curriculum. Even our grandparents have studied Chinese with Toronto Mandarin and they have learned so much and become conversational in two years! Toronto Mandarin has been more than a school, it is also community for our family to connect to Chinese culture, and we have really enjoyed meeting other families and taking part in the annual Chinese New Year festivities. In the COVID period the school made smooth transition to online classes and we have continued to study Chinese. Thank you for being a service our family can count on. You are our bridge to learning Chinese in Toronto.

We found Toronto Mandarin School through a friend’s recommendation. After 5mins of the first lesson with Ms Gao, I knew my kid would like it. And in fact, he loves it. Before this, we had been going to a local Sunday Chinese school in NY for 4 years, but the excitement and passion he showed me every day after Ms Gao was something I had never seen before. Ms Gao is nice, kind, patient, funny and encouraging. The text book she wrote is so appropriate for Chinese kids who grew up abroad. Being introduced to Toronto Mandarin school is definitely the silver lining to us during this pandemic. Can’t thank them enough.

刘老师是一位非常好旳老师！ Liu Lao Shi (Lauren Liu) is truly an exceptional teacher! I really enjoyed the Adult Intensive Summer Course much more than I expected. Liu Lao Shi is very welcoming, warm, energetic and her laughter is infectious! We were able to learned all the essentials in one short week. Although the class has a structured curriculum, she makes time to explain and teach mini-side lessons based on students’ curiousity, and then very effectively bring the lesson back to the curriculum. She also puts in enough interesting historical tidbits to peak our interest without too much information to bore us. The five hours each class just flies by way too quickly. Liu Lao Shi incorporates a variety of tools to enrich our learning: catchy music videos, phone apps, flashcards, white board, paper/marker, chart, posters, etc. The learning process is very natural and effective. This course well exceeds my expectations. I highly recommend it! 谢谢！

I've started studying Chinese at Toronto Mandarin School this year, and I've been very impressed with their high level of professionalism. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming, and it feels like you're part of a family. The teacher knows a lot about Chinese language and culture, and puts a lot of heart into teaching, and the way she explains everything is really great. She makes it very easy for me to understand and pick up the concepts. Would definitely recommend!
