I rarely write reviews, but I couldn't resist writing one about TCA! I don't think one can find a better Chinese school in Toronto (or in Canada)! I love the school and my teachers! I have taken several language classes (French and German) before, but never did I start to speak the language on my very first day. The material is constructed to help students to speak from Day 1. I really can't describe how amazing the teachers are! They are so committed that they will stay back extra hours on Friday evenings so that the TCA students can come practice (we have a really cool speaking club)! The program is also personalized: if you're a slow learner, there will be extra classes (free of cost!), and if you're a fast learner, you'll soon be moved to a new level! When I first moved into Toronto, I was considering eventually moving into the suburbs. But, I ended up staying since one of my major concerns was that I might not find a better Chinese school elsewhere.That's how important the school is for my decision making! Like I often say, \I'm a permanent student of TCA!

I started taking introductory Mandarin classes here since September 2017 and it has been rewarding to say the least. The teachers are professional and motivating and the speed of learning is fantastic. You can see yourself improving week by week. Prices, locations, learning material, and atmosphere cannot be beat. I have been taking Mandarin class at Toronto Chinese Academy since 2016, and i highly recommend this place if you are a serious language learner. I really like the classes taught in Chinese immersion, highly focused on speaking and listening. Also teachers are so experienced, and class size are also really small that gives you lots of opportunities to practice the speaking.

I am a Montreal-born Indian male. I started Feb 2016 and have been attending class once a week for 8months now. At first I was hestitant about how much I would learn as a non-Chinese however this class has been an amazing learning experience for me. I am already making conversations in Mandarin (more than what we have learned in class) with random Chinese people in Toronto. I really like the structure of the modules because they teach you about every day life experiences (work, travel, food, weather, family, etc) which makes the material more relevant and easier to learn. I am still attending class and I highly recommend Toronto Chinese Academy for anyone interested in learning Mandarin. There are 3 teachers all with their individual learning styles and techniques, this really helps with absorbing the information. I really like how we also get recordings after class so I can practice listening while Im on the subway ride to work. I suggest if anyone wants to learn, come in and speak to one of the teachers.
