Update: I truly appreciate Orbit's investigation and response. I accept all Susan (import/export manager) has explained and understand all that transpired. Thankfully this is not a common experience we have with other moves as a Building Manager and am certain not for their company as well based on the overall good star rating. Their follow up reflects their years of service and the proud and educated team they have at the head office. They have earned 3 stars rather than the 2 original given thanks to Susan, Eric and Alex. Original review: This moving company is getting a bad review for the following reasons. Unreliable time management (gives timeframe but realistically more than doubles time with no update), peeing in the trees within view of all the units of our apartment building (dark hair shaven tall man). Worst of all not following the protocol they set out and we agreed upon saying they will bring things up, remove the elevator then unpack. With covid-19 and the distancing rules in elevators, not using the elevator efficiently (and agreed upon!!!) causes issues. It looks like they unpacked as they brought up things so it held the elevator longer than they said. Not honouring a set plan is what infuriates me the most. I’m very understanding when it comes to unexpected things and delays but they seem to say one thing and not follow through. This happened allllll day with them. I don't care if plans change or things are delayed, just be honest and be open with your communication about it!
Orbit were great. They were a massive help when we moved from Toronto to Chicago. The move went smoothly and our belongings arrived much faster than I was expecting. James in the customer service team was really helpful. Thanks!
From the Quote to moving and shipping the team at Orbit didn't disappoint. Tomy was great, booked a time slot and everything was itemized and quoted. Jared and the staff team ran all the orchestration paperwork and invoicing. The movers were right on time, very efficient and professional. We hope our experience in Singapore with the final shipment to our new home will be exactly the same. Highly recommend.
Orbit was very accommodating on a short term notice. The container was received on the other end timely and all content was safe. The estimates, office and packing staff were pleasant and easy to deal with. Highly recommended.
