My business was with Magen for 6 years. Our annual renewal was up and I decided to shop around. Found that a handful of security companies costed less and offered the same service. I brought this to Magen's attention. The receptionist said she would have her boss call me. The boss called me a week later and offered 5 off per month. Still the other companies were much less. I brought up my concern about the cost again. Instead of listening to me he tried to call my bluff and make the decision for me. He said he'll come tomorrow to take down all the equipment and cancel my service. He also brought up that Magen Security changes the battery for free while other companies don't. Found out the cost of the battery is approximately 30 at The Source and doesn't need to be changed often. I wasn't impressed with his professionalism or the way he addressed my concerns having been a client for 6 years. I'm now with The Monitoring Center and pay 9.99/month (increases by 5 more per month after a few years). I had to pay for all new equipment but I own it and even after all that I'm still saving hundreds in comparison to the Magen Security at 30/month. Buyer beware.

This company is the worst to do business with. I've had their service for 3 years at my business and after reviewing their charges 372.00 per year (about 30 per month), while most company prices range from 20 to 25 per month I decided to cancel. The manager Susan is so unprofessional and rude, she sent one of the installer to the premises to remove the equipment, bearing in the mind that system was over 10 years old and have no use to her Company. When the new Company came to install my alarm they realised Magen Security removed the control panel that belonged to ADT not them, just to have me pay for a new control panel. When I contacted Susan she confirmed the panel was there before I occupied the premises in 2008 but claimed it had belong to them and that I know it's a lie. Just upset that I didn't want to do business with them anymore she became vindictive. I will be reporting them to the BBB......Do not do business with them. Note also my fees with Magen Security did not include glass break detector, so I'm paying less for more service!!!
