ABSOLUTELY THE WORST UNION TO WORK FOR!!!!! IF YOU ARE THINKING OF WORKING FOR THIS UNION LET ME SAVE YOU PLENTY OF TIME. DON'T DO IT. THIS IS BY FAR THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS YOU WILL EVER HAVE TO COME ACROSS. THIS UNION IS JUST LOOKING TO LOOK GOOD, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR UNION WORKERS. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THE UNIONIZED COMPANIES THAT THEY CAN KEEP PULLING IN. IF A COMPANY SCREWS YOU OVER FOR YOUR HOURS OR DOESN'T PAY YOU ON YOUR PAY DAY, THE UNION WILL DO NOTHING FOR YOU, THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND LET YOU SUFFER. THEY DONT MAKE SURE THE COMPANY PAYS YOU ON TIME OR EVEN GIVES YOU ENOUGH HOURS TO BE ABLE TO SURVIVE. UNPROFESSIONAL FROM THE PERSON WHO ANSWERS THE PHONE ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP WITH THE REPS AND THE UNION HEADS. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AT ALL. LOCAL 506 IS BY FAR ONE OF THE WORST UNIONS EVER. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, ENERGY, GAS MONEY OR HOPE WITH THESE PEOPLE. THEY WILL DO EVERYTHING IN THEIR POWER TO SCREW YOU OVER WITHOUT BATTING A LASH BECAUSE AT THE END OF THE DAY THEY ARE COZY GETTING PAID WHILE THE WORKERS WHO ARE THE REASON THERE ARE UNIONS TO BEGIN WITH HAVE TO FIND OTHER WAYS TO JUST FEED THEMSELVES OR HAVE GAS MONEY TO GET TO A JOB THAT ESSENTIALLY WONT EVEN PAY YOU!!!! DONT DO IT. BE SMART, GO TO A SMALL BUSINESS OR ANYTHING ELSE BESIDES THE UNION. YOU WILL GET SCREWED OVER!!!! I PROMISE.
If your willing to work hard and do what you need to do to keep your self employable and understand that the union is a resource not magic they will help you anyway they can REVIEW UPDATE..... I recently went and got some training at the 506 training centre I called pretty much last minute and Anna was so helpful she got me in pretty much right away she was extremely helpful and took the time to fully explain what and how the training was going to be implemented the instructors were extremely professional and knowledgeable on the subjects they were teaching I just want to say thank you to Anna and all the instructors that helped me
Garbage. This is one of the halls that forced our hall into theirs yet these guys don't do anything for the sites that their now in charge of. I've been on a site since May and never once seen anyone from the hall come out to see how things are going. All they want is the dues greedy pigs
