The absolute best learning experience I've ever had. There are 3 key issues I've had with other driving schools in the past: 1) Cost-- many driving schools charge upwards of 160 an hour for in car lessons, but the instructor is not necessarily worth the price. 2) Language barriers-- Toronto driving is intense and scary enough as it is for a beginner. I personally needed an instructor who speaks fluent English. 3) Car-- I have been in cars where you can't raise the seat (so you have to sit on cushions), dirty cars that are covered in cigarette ash and fast food containers, cars with no air conditioning (not fun when you are nervous and sweating in the dead heat of summer), and a car with a jammed parking brake. All this to say, your learning environment makes a difference to your experience. I finally decided to take a chance with Evergreen and I am so happy I did. I met a young, professional instructor named Wallace who charges reasonable rates, speaks English as a first language, and drives a clean and well-maintained Lexus hybrid. Wallace's approach is very technical, and precise. He will make you a better driver, but you have to commit to his style. After just a few lessons with Wallace, I passed my G2 exam! More importantly, Wallace made me a more calm, cool and confident driver thanks to his professionalism and expertise. I highly recommend Evergreen driving school and Wallace as an instructor!
