In November 2020, my Kitsilano townhome suffered a hot water tank rupture during the night and had a lot of water damage including engineered hardwood flooring, living room ceiling and some of the interior walls. I had no experience with this type of situation but Paul Davis Restoration was recommended to me so I called them. Within a few hours they had already had a team visit my townhome and assess the damage, recommend a good quality plumbing company to install a new tank and start to work on generating a detailed quote for my insurance company. A water damaged home is not a fun experience but Paul Davis was good at communicating and walking me through what needed to be repaired and why. The supplier they recommended I visit to select new flooring also turned out to be an excellent choice, so it's clear to me that they work with high quality suppliers and sub-trades. Overall I found the various team members worked well together and the repair went smoothly. The end results were absolutely excellent and during the final walk through I could not tell at all that there had ever been any damage. The place looked brand new and I was very pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend Paul Davis to my colleagues or use them myself if disaster strikes again (hopefully not). We were shattered when our water tank blew up and flooded our basement of our 100 year old house. The Paul Davis Emergency Team were there in under half an hour and dealing with three inches of water which had been pumping into the basement overnight. The team were courteous, professional and efficient. They got all the water pumped out, carpets removed, identified which walls needed new plasterboards and removed furniture to safe storage within hours. Project Manager Tim Johnson was reassuring and optimistic that the remediation work could be accomplished in two or three months. It came in under two months! Greg Morgan, who did most of the carpentry and painting worked to very high standards and was ahead of schedule. Everyone on the Paul Davis team was professional and knowledgeable. In addition, they accomplished this work during the worst days of the Covid 19 pandemic! They were conscientious about respecting physical distancing and hand washing protocols on the job which was a relief as my husband is high risk for the disease. This company recently repaired water damage to my bathroom ceiling. There were some minor glitches with scheduling but overall Paul Davis was very accommodating. The two employees who repaired the ceiling did excellent work. They were very pleasant and efficient. I was very pleased with the result.
Dont trust them as far as i could throw them.theyare con artist rip offs that sub out work to smaller companies and then dont pay them.
The Paul Davis team was great to deal with. Prompt service, courteous staff who should up on time and dealt with any deficiencies without delay. The work on my home was done within the estimated schedule. Would happy work with them again.
