I was nervous because I read reviews before going to my appointment, which clearly didn't leave me feeling super confident. I have a trapped nerve in my elbow that has been causing issues for months. I finally asked my GP to see a neurologist and she sent me to Dr.McDowell. I'm the type of person who does reading up on what I'm dealing with, and go in with questions ready to ask. If you're looking for a chatty doctor, who makes small talk, and will easily offer information before he's completed his exam, then you'll be disappointed. I have no problem asking questions and taking the time I need to get the information that I need. When he was doing a nerve test and didn't explain to me what he was doing, I asked. Maybe he doesn't realize that sitting there and not knowing what's going to happen and how nerve wracking an appointment can be for some people, and that explaining what he's doing before he does it could ease anxiety. And maybe he would have before he finished prepping me, but I was too nervous to wait, so I asked. He was very knowledgeable, answered all of my questions respectfully, and I felt confident leaving his office knowing what I needed to do moving forward. We don't always get the bedside manner we need or want, but if the knowledge is there, and you can manage to speak up and push through your anxiety or fears or nervousness, there's nothing wrong with this doctor!

We met Timothy McDowell. Due to his wrong diagnose on my mom's concern, we need to initiate reassessment and convince BC health in this pandemic condition that his diagnostic is wrong based on my mom's recent MRI report. Timothy had my mom MRI report when he examined her but he did not care to read that carefully. If he was general MD we could have second opinion by going to another clinic but as he is a specialist in BC, it may take few months to visit another Neurologist specially in this Covid-19 condition!!! Shame on him as he caused this delay in my mom's health procedure. please change your neurologist if you referred to Timothy ASAP. if google had 0 start I was more than happy to consider that for Timothy.

Not happy at all from Dr. Timothy. Consider changing him if you have time and reading this.

I saw Dr.Timothy McDowell and he was extremely thorough and kind. I’m very appreciative of his help in diagnosing my nerve injury and ensuring I don’t injury it further. He seems very knowledgeable and skilled. Highly recommend!

Terrible. You'd have better luck going to a faith healer, getting a colon cleansing or doing urine therapy than going here.
