We live in a 42-year-old condo and for the past 13 years Eltec Elevator has been our go-to company! They are efficient, prompt when called and have tried to do their very best when working on an elevator that was 12 years past its best-by date! Harry, Ken, Phil and other technicians have advised us over time that we need a new elevator and we could only agree with them, but there was always something else that needed our attention! At last, this year was the year when we agreed to have Eltec perform the elevator modernization in our building. The project manager came to two information meetings to advise the residents of the process, answer questions and speak about financial expenditure. He is both pleasant and knowledgeable; the ownership agreed that we go ahead with this project and at the SGM on August 1, we unanimously agreed to the elevator modernization. We were advised it would begin October 18 and end before Christmas. Today, December 22, 2017, our beautiful new elevator passed its inspection and we are all thrilled!! I know I speak for all the residents when I write that Eltec has been wonderful. All their employees, especially Rob and Sean who have been here for the past two months, have been professional, polite, diligent, and really appreciative of the residents who, in turn, have truly cooperated with Eltec Elevator, Action Electric and Fire Pro. On behalf of the owners and tenants of our 39-suite condo in New Westminster, I highly recommend Eltec Elevator and wish them continued success! President, Council NW 401
I was stuck in a eltec elevator and when I pushed the call button and ask them to call the fire department because the elevator was shaking they said \are you in medical distress \ I said o but the elevator is shaking please call the fire department\ They said o we have called a technician\ I said I don't care please contact the fire department. They said no and hung up. We went through that scenario several more times. I had to start screaming to get someones attention and get them to call The fire department and it took them over an hour to get me out. Their behavior/policy is despicable, score negative 1 trillion to the power of one billion
The company has been purchased by Kone. Communication has gone to unacceptable levels. Have been trying to get a confirmation of an appointment that requires the elevator tech and fire tech on site at the same time. Excuse after excuse. Ask to be called back no call. They are no longer the professional organization that generated these positive reviews.
Working with Harry the service tech is a treat, knowledgeable funny and very hard working. He is always happy and always makes sure to explain everything that is going on with the elevator. Very prompt service, if i need someone on site, they are here very quickly.
