Canopy midwives were my care providers throughout my pregnancy, and for my daughter when she was born as well. I am fortunate to have chosen a team of midwives that were attentive to my phone calls throughout my pregnancy and after. They always phoned back promptly. Bronwynne helped in delivering my baby, and it was a great experience to have her calm and supportive energy at such a special time. However, when my baby got sick I did not feel my concerns were heard. It was wasn't until the third concerned call I made to the team that I got Brynn and she sent us to a pediatrician, where my baby was diagnosed with pyloric stenosis and received surgery. Lastly, I was seen in person and asked for an examination of what I thought was conjunctivitis. I was told it was sticky eye... But after today a doctor has confirmed it is indeed a bacterial infection. There are many positives but I thought it would be fair to share my experiences.

I had the most amazing experience with Gillian, Colleen and Brangwynne. I had previously been seeing another midwife on the North Shore but felt like she wasn't the right fit, so I switched to Canopy at 28 weeks pregnant and am so glad I did! All three women are so kind, calm, nurturing, and made the last few months of pregnancy feel like a breeze. I had an incredibly long and intensive labor and I am so glad I had Gillian by my side to support us through it and welcome our healthy baby boy! I can't recommend Canopy Midwives enough and look forward to seeing them again for baby #2 one day!
I love Canopy Midwives! I can't imagine finding a better group of ladies to facilitate a pregnancy and birth. All 3 ladies are so full of information and listen intently to concerns and goals. It's rarely heard of but my birthing experience was exactly what I had hoped for thanks to Gillian and Brangwynne. Afterwards, Colleen showed me how to breastfeed properly. All 3 are simply amazing.
