Bell has been overcharging me for years on my home phone, internet and TV package, and I've finally cut my TV opting for a streaming service. Home phone is obsolete now, and I will be changing my internet provider ASAP! Funny how they contact me to offer me incentives on their 'packages' now, but they're wasting their breathe.
Clean store, helpful staff. Made me feel comfortable and not too pushy to sell me, which I like, being low income with COVID pandemic. THank you.
I needed a 30-day sim card with data to put into my smartphone so that while traveling I would have access to Google maps, looking up hotels and restaurants, and being able to message home. I did some preliminary online research and decided to try Bell, I went into the small retail location located in the plaza on portage road. The woman inside was very friendly and very helpful and she confirmed some of the information that I had looked up. I showed her my phone, told her what I needed it for and she was able to come up with a 30-day prepaid plan with 1 GB of data however it also came with a 3 and 1/2 GB bonus so 4 and 1/2 GB total for about 45 plus taxes so all in about 55 canadian. (I do know that compared to almost every other country in the world it's an absolute crime for the amount of you have to pay for the amount of data but this is Canada and we do have the worst cellular phone rates in the world... This is not my opinion, this is fact) The woman was very helpful and quickly put my order through, which included putting the card into my phone for me and testing it to make sure that it worked before I left. (Unfortunately I do not see her name anywhere here on the receipt or I would mention her by name) During the course of her assistance someone else tried to enter the building, because these are covered times she asked the person to please wait outside until I was finished. Only one person in the retail store at one time. Although I haven't used the product yet so I don't know how well the service works or if there's any dead zones or anything like that, I was happy with the purchasing experience
