awesome experience yesterday Feb 25,2021. From the door the security personnel ensure the protocols are in place and even saw them explain calmly why someone was not allowed inside. The G test went well. Nash started by establishing his presence which would make you feel that there is NO imbalance in power. He made me feel comfortable and gave clear instructions making the test less stressful. He even gave an advice or 2 on how to further improve my driving. After passing I went inside and the lady in the counter also has the welcoming vibe.

Overall The experience was middle ground. My situation was a little different from your traditional transferring of license when switching provinces. I moved to Ontario from Alberta in 2019 to go to a rehab program. In Alberta I had gotten a dui so my license had been suspended. Now that I had finished my 1 year treatment program I wanted to take the next right step and get my license back. I had explained all of this to a couple of the front desk clerks and a manger. They told me to just get ahold of my drivers abstract and they would just reinstate it once I brought it in. So of course I was flabbergasted to think that was all it was going to take to get my license back. So when I came back with the abstract and talked to a new clerk she looked very confused at why in the world I thought I could just come in and reinstate a suspended license. (Which in my mind I didn’t think it sounded right) after about 45 minutes of clerks and managers talking they informed me I’d have to start the G1 process. In the end everything worked out fine and I happily passed my test after spending to days online with the site you pay to take practice tests. Highly recommend!
Had my class A road test today at this location, even though I failed my exam because of my poor observation I would like to leave a comment on the examiner and the center. Complete process was flawless, no delays well organized. My examiner James (I think my memory is right) was so calm and very encouraging. He did gave me proper instructions and was so fair . He gave me very positive and constructive feedback which gave me confidence for my next test. Hope to get him for my next exam if I choose New Market next time.
I took my G test today for the second time at the Newmarket location so I was already very nervous and I have nothing to say but good things about the centre. First off, they followed protocol to the T! Made sure everyone was safe especially in this pandemic while being totally respectful! My driving evaluator was Nash! This instructor is the best I’ve ever seen! He makes you feel calm right off the bat! His instructions are so clear and he gives you plenty of time to complete the required task! He’s constantly motivating you and let me know when I did something well on the highway which gave me some relief! After my exam, he went through the different things with me and gave me some advice to follow in the future which I will do for sure! Thank you so much Nash! Even the staff inside were the sweetest people! I really recommend this centre for all your driving tests! And on the bonus side I passed! Good luck everyone!
Much more friendly than the location in Scarborough, well organized and clean environment. Thankfully there was a separate line for road tests. If you’re doing your G1 or any written test, come really early as the there will be a line way before opening hours. (**NOTE**: Make sure you know what birth month’s they’re serving during that week) If you’re not in that group, you’re not getting service
