I appreciate Dr. Konkin's kindness and top notch surgical skills applied on my hernia repair. I’ve learned you made a 3 inch cut on my hernia area which seems to be easy to find a problem spot inside my lower belly. I believe it’s a very smart and fantastic idea to cover exact problemed spot with a surgical mesh. No guess is necessary, Dr. Konkin could find right spot with his own eyes and did perfect job. I’d decided to wait for 7days, which is longer than after surgery care instructions, before remove large patch of bandage, and waited two weeks in total until remove small sticky bandage which hold tight 3 inch cut on my lower belly. After 4 weeks, I’ve felt everything perfectly fine. I couldn’t feel any discomfort inside of lower belly and the surgical incision’s healed completely. I’ve thanked God to be a patient of Dr. Konkin, and appreciate to my family Doctor, Dr. Brown, recommending a good Surgeon.

Amazing Dr. who saved my 90 year old mother's life with a much needed hernia surgery. When no other general surgeon in Abbotsford would touch her or do their due diligence and refer her out , when they were not confident in their abilities. Thank You SIR !!!!! Maticulous, good hearted and thorough. He took a very personal approach in treatment and follow up care. Very pleased with what he was able to repair and how he very successfully repaired all the issues. He took on some very complex abdominal renovations and successfully corrected them with the maticulous precision he equates himself to. His staff is very approachable, helpful and understanding. I went to Dr Konkin for a groin hernia consultation. The front staff are extremely professional and kind. Dr Konkin himself has an excellent bed side manner and was very warm and welcoming. I will be monitoring my hernia and following up with him should I need surgery. Just based on the exchange I had with him today I would be very confident to go under the knife and be in his care. I would recommend him to my family and friends. Thank you to Dr Konkin and his staff for making a stressful experience so pleasant.
Dr. Konkin performed a hernioplasty for a left inguinal hernia on me. In general, I am quite happy. I have had no problems since and recovered easily. I can't give him a great rating though because I found him to be hard to talk to. He seemed very short and robotic at times. I felt the \people\ side of medicine was lacking in him.
