I was on the 417 and I spotted a cop driving more than 120 km/h. I was in the third lane (fastest) and switched because he was tailgating me. Then the other car that I was behind did the same as me. Than, he switched lanes to take the Greenbank exit super fast without using the flasher. I had to take the same exit and we ended up doing about the same route. On Greenbank, he was tailgating and when it was time to switch lanes to turn left to go to the police station, he didn't use his flasher. This is really bad for a cop. He was definitively not responding to an emergency call but getting to work.. This was around 6:45 - 6:50 ish today on March 2nd 2021.

There a great service and take the time out of there day to make sure that the City of Ottawa is safe, however it’s unfortunate to see so many people angry at this service for things that hasn’t even happened to them but this usually happens in most police services nowadays.
No longer opened to the public. Wasted my time coming here. The only 3 police stations opened to public are: -Downtown (where it’s so hard to find parking), -Huntmar (allllll the way in Stittsville), -or somewhere in Orleans (I don’t even know the area well enough to know where it is). In hard times, the terrible customer phone line is even more stressful, and it’s also distressing to travel so far when we are a victim of something. When I called them, they insisted I needed to show up to one of these three stations in person. Why are the police services so out of reach?

Just a comment from a concerned citizen. While driving to work this morning, Wednesday June 22, 2016, at about 8:25am, I noticed a police car going on Baseline road from Woodroffe and turning left on Greenbank road. I will not post the vehicle number but the Ottawa Police should know which cruiser I am talking about. While on Baseline road, the officer kept tailgating, cutting off other cars, including mine, and speeding at some point up to 110 km/h (my estimate comparing my speed), the posted speed limit is 60 km/h. He stopped at red lights so he is not in a hurry responding call or emergency. The Ottawa Police should discipline their officers, and not to abuse their power. My point is: I think the officer does all the tailgating, cutting off and speeding just BECAUSE HE CAN.
