Rink Bookings available for members to play Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays as of July 7, 2020.  Book a rink now for up to four players for an hour by accessing the pull-down menu above called Rink Bookings.  Please note that there is a different calendar for each rink.  There will be COVID-19 sign-in requirements, and pre-booking is essential.  Good bowling! Be informed:  Here is the user-friendly Bowlers Terms and Conditions or more in-depth Bowls BC Agreement.  Please know that during a regular season we would normally open every day, except Mondays when the greens are closed for maintenance April 1 – September 30.  However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Nanaimo Lawn Bowling Club is open in a restricted model only as of July 7, 2020.  Access is for members only.  No spectators or new bowlers will be able to access the Clubhouse or green.  The modified format will be four bowlers per rink and only four rinks open to ensure social distancing.     Thank you to Vern Hagstrom for his creation of a new sign installed near the green at Bowen Park, and to Sandy Mitchell (Parksville) LBC for providing the wood base. It will be a great day when we can see the green like this again: The Semi-annual General Meeting was due to be held in April, again this will not take place until restrictions are lifted. In the off season we get together for coffee.  Here are some pictures.  We also meet twice a week (1-4 pm Mondays and Fridays) to play short mat at Costin Hall in Lantzville (October to April).    After an unexpected diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer, Bill Roos passed away on Friday, June 5th. Bill was a long time member of our Club and was particularly active on the greens crew and with the VIP bowlers. Bill will be greatly missed by all of his friends at Nanaimo Lawn Bowling Club.           After a long struggle with Pulmonary Fibrosis, Myron Mishio passed away on Saturday, June 6th. Myron was a long time member of our Club and was very active at the Club especially in his various fundraising responsibilities.
