Deni is an angel! He is so sweet to talk to, and really cares about his work and his customers. The selection and organization of used items is... diverse and free-form. There are three different rooms with ALL kinds of things. Much of it could probably be recycled, but there are hidden treasures galore! And the prices cannot be beat. My partner and I found a nice little basket, two vinyl records, and a corning ware mug. All together: 5.

We first found Deni's last February on a thrift store run to find useful and unusual items for a deck design project & found ourselves revisiting the store quite often for some fantastic finds. Deni always welcomes us like family & his generous nature toward the financially disadvantaged is a boon to the community, which we are happy to support through his efforts. Out of the many curios and collectibles we found, along with ceramic planters for our ever-expanding deck garden, many went right into updating our eclectic home decor with interesting conversation pieces. I was also able to add some impressive vintage jewelry to my keepsake collection. Deni has a huge inventory turnover, so we know we'll always find something to surprise us that we've never seen before and didn't know we wanted, which makes for a lot of fun.
Great owner, gives significant amount of money to charity every year. Great deals, and will help you get large pieces of furniture into your car! Lots of unique items and a great place to donate extra items if you have them lying around!
Denis' is a very special place, a second hand and consignment store in which all the profits are reinvested in the community. For the most part it's above man show, with Denis holding down the fort 6 days a week. Stock is donated by the community and changes regularly, So regularly popping in generates the best results. Denis uses the profits to support local sports teams and the boys and girls club of Nanaimo, so your purchases help important programs for kids. The place is full, do give yourself time for a good poke around, and keep an ear open for special events like consignment sales and outdoor flea markets. Thanks Denis, you are a good man!!
