The Multicultural Association should be top of the list for all newcomers to Fort McMurray (or Canada!) to visit. They host a series of events and programs that see to help celebrate the diversity that exists in the region, educate immigrants, refugees and newcomers on Canadian systems (Finances, Parenting, etc.) and integrate people into the community as well. Their Multicultural EXPO is by far my favourite multicultural event in the region!
