Everything is great about this restaurant. Service and food are a top notch. The food is so well thought of and well prepared. This is an institution rather than a restaurant. Very creative chef with a great imagination when it comes to food. Try to make a reservation as the restaurant is very popular and therefore book in advance. Highly recommended if you appreciate creativity and gastronomy. Definitely worth trying.

Wow! I don't know why I had low expectations for this restaurant but I was so mistaken! The setting is very simple and minimal. The food is just a work of art in presentation and flavour. My husband was tearing up eating his veal dish. The beef tartare was amazing! Super friendly service and fair prices. Highly recommended!

This is an exemplary restaurant. I had the tasting menu two different days, once with wine pairings, the other one without. The food was simply delicious. The sashimi plate was aromatic and intriguing, the hand-made cappelletti about the best I’ve had, and the lamb was tender and surrounded by delicious roasted vegetables

The best fine dining experience I have had so far in Montreal! Unique flavor combinations, attentive (but not overbearing) staff who is well-educated about the menu and pairings, classy minimalist decor. The scallops and veal were perfectly cooked. Dishes were rich and decadent, full of differing textures, and presented in playful ways which mean fun for your palate. Sad I won't be able to return any time soon (die to COVID-19); this place 100% deserves a visit!

I was visiting my daughter who recommended Bouillon Bilk. We went for dinner and it fulfilled expectations. We had the eight course menu with a six course wine pairing and were very happy. The good points: Inventive menu, a very knowledable sommelier (although she told us she was the second in commend) and to top it aall off, excellent and friendly service. So why only four stars and not five? A couple of dishes were a bit hit and miss, in particular a sea urchin dish that was a bit too strong in taste. Also, the waiter bringing each dish could have done a better job in explaining each one. I felt that he was a bit formulaic in his explanations, but this could have been our fault as we were speaking English and not French. Finally, although the place has a nice ambiance, the decor is a bit spoiled with a large bar right in the center of the restaurant. These are nevertheless small issues. Go visit Bouillon Bilk and you will enjoy it

Had to make reservations before hand as it was awfully busy around dinner. Ordered the Matsutake and Aubergine dish and they were exquisite. Both plates were a burst of flavour in my mouth with every bite and of course the plating was lovely.

Simple decorations with attractive lights that makes the place elegant and attractive. Ambience is pleasing and the service is friendly. However, it did take them quite a while to serve us our main courses after the appetizers. The food was fanstastic. The presentation was gorgeous and they must have used high quality ingredients. The most formidable was the sauces. Although very little, the sauces has strong impact and brought the meal to another level. Even if I wasn't full, I was satisfied by the taste of he food. As for the prices, they aren't too expensive. 24 for the duck appetizer, 39 for the veal meal and 12 for the peach dessert. In my opinion, the appetizer was good but not exceptional like the main course. The dessert ended the meal splendidly. The peach ice cream was simply incredible along with the rest of the dessert plate.
