I'm disappointed with this izakaya. I thought this place will have the cooks prepare grilled skewers in front of the customers like many yakitori and izakaya because there are pictures of grilled meat being cooked in a grill, and then I found out the meat is cooked in the kitchen in the back, so we can't see the process (feels misleading). The price is also expensive, portions are tiny and they are dry. I didn't enjoy it

We liked OTTO Yakitori very much. We had most of the chicken items and thought they were very tasty. I loved the chicken knuckles but it’s not for everyone. We also got 5 vegetable items which were very good. I forgot the chicken soup that was excellent!! Great service
Hidden gem. Food is delicious. Prices are good. Before Covid hit us, the music and lighting were so on point as well

I can't describe how good this place is. You know how you order a bunch of dishes and one of them is mediocre? Not this place. Every dish is delicious. Highly recommend getting the fried squid, the chicken skin, the knee joint and the cocktails. Otto Salad with kale, pine nuts, poached egg and Parm cheese was super. The Brussel sprouts were phenomenal. You'll just want to go back cause you didn't order the whole menu.. yet.
Super yummy skewers, so many different types of meat! Very yummy, and reasonable prices. It was a bit cold, sitting near the door, and some of the food got cold before we had a chance to eat it. But, the vegetable skewers were also super good! Especially the eggplant and the zucchini skewers, omg. Also, very delicious umeshu
Awesome Yakitori! Best ramen in town! (only available at lunch) the broth is to die for. Perfectly cooked noodles! Anything made with their chicken broth is incredible! Great seasonal dinner menu Large selection of sake Friendly staff! They may get a bit overwhelmed when they place gets busy.
Otto Yakitori Izakaya is by far my favorite place in Saint-Catherine Montreal. Always friendly staff great variety of Japanese beer and whiskey and YUMMI Yakitori, dont skip on the KAWA (Chicken skin) and the chicken oysters and if you are lucky enough to be on the Ramen day then its your lucky day. Highly recommend.
