I celebrated my PhD yesterday in this fine place. happy to tell that it was a cool evening and the venue was surely the reason for the outstanding event. The waiters cooperated in a sweet way, the cooking was delicious and my buddies were so happy. We shall absolutely come back again for more celebrations. thanks very much.

This great real feel pub kept me same during my business trip in Montreal! Mainly due to Pat and Big G, bartenders that definitely do a job that they love! cheers! This place has probably all of the best Irish whiskey, and their beer selection is fantastic! A must if you want to chill without the big noise. BTW their fish 'n' chips is REALLY good!
The Old Dub was our hangout in my university days. Like a second home! The house band (in the 90s-) was The Immigrants.....they were amazing. They did a mix of Irish folk, originals, Balalaika....they were phenomenal, and their banjo/mandolin player, Bobby, I think his name was, FLATpicked SO fast that it made your eyes buzz. A bit like a little leprechaun, as he had a long, white beard (I think.) Anyway.....Old Dub: Absolutely the most authentic Irish pub in Montreal!
I had the lamb Curry it was excellent along with a Guinness which was also great. Would definitely recommend this pub envy downtown area. Many different burgers on the menu but the curry was definitely great.
An amazing bartender and some amazing people at this spot. The urinals being made out of kegs is a sweet bonus.
