Emma Lounsbury

This library is very quiet and warm in the winter, unlike most other McGill buildings. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. It's not the biggest or the most popular, so if you're looking for a peaceful seat, this is a good place. In my opinion, this library is underrated. Note: it's so quiet that even typing on a laptop can at times feel disturbing.

Daniel Carkner

This is a small branch of the McGill library that focuses on the study of the Islamic world. Therefore there are books in a number of languages including Persian, Arabic, Turkish etc. A very nice stone building with the interior modernized in recent decades.
