This is going to be a long one but a MUST read! I ordered two pairs of glasses from Optically, one regular pair, and one transition pair. When I received the glasses (took 3 weeks), one pair was correct, and the other pair was just straight sunglasses, not transition. Both pairs of glasses felt incredibly cheap and plastic and did not fit my head/face correctly. I wasn't very upset because the website says hassle free returns if you are not satisfied. When I contacted them, they asked a bunch of questions as to why I wanted to return and when I explained what I said above, they wanted me to return the glasses so they could remake them, and I said no I just want a refund. After a bit of back and forth, they said I could return the glasses but they wouldn't reimburse me for the lenses (which is the most expensive part). There was nothing hassle free about this. I also had to pay for the return package. Clearly Contacts provides a return shipping label in case you are not satisfied. There was nothing hassle free about this experience. From beginning to end it took just over 9 weeks for this whole process. I am extremely unsatisfied and want everyone to know that they may want to look elsewhere!
What a sham this company is. Getting my glasses was like giving birth. Not to mention when I finally got them, the script is wrong. I don't know any one who has a pair of glasses that has to tilt their head down too look in the distance and the to read put their head right back . Can't even wear them. They are CHEAP for a reason.....You certainly get what you pay for. Any reviews above a 1 star, obviously bogus!! More of a hassle to return them. Throw these in the draw and off to a locally owned place tomorrow to get something else. On top of everything else, boy they can spin lies upon lies. Once bitten for sure.
Optically.ca has all their glasses come from China. It takes forever to receive, 13 charge for delivery with no tracking number provided. Terrible! Firmoo.com is the best alternative China provider with better glasses, much... much faster delivery, cost is 50% less and customer service so much better.
The only improvement I can recommend is simplifying the way I can understand the size of the glasses. I thought I understood it last time I ordered but the glasses just felt a little tight. Other than that perfect every single time I’ve ordered. Both in glasses and contact lenses. The price point is amazing!
Probably the best place in Toronto if you wish to get new lenses into existing frames. I sent 4 old frames and got lenses installed at a very reasonable price (50 per frame depending on options). They also have very nice frames at equally reasonable prices. The entire process took about two weeks and can be done entirely via Canada Post. Excellent personalized service!
I have always gotten my glasses in store at an optician but I thought I would try buying online this year and I was not dissapointed in the slightest. The team at Optically took care of me and helped me every step of the way. Their prices are cheaper than in store and support team is fantastic and very accommodating. The glasses arrived to my door step much quicker than the traditional in store process. I would recommend Optically to anyone looking to buy glasses as the prices are affordable, the customer service is amazing and the delivery time was quick.
