Had a Karcher unit for more than 15 years, was excellent, purchased a new one K4 Unit in May this year and the Vario wand stopped working correctly after just 4 months, called Karcher and was advise to put it in vinegar overnight. Still does'nt work ,told by Brody at their office that there is no warranty after 90 days, replacement for the wand is 65.00 plus tax. Very disappointed, will never buy this kind of plastic JUNK again from a company that does not stand behind their product and now makes expensive JUNK. What ever happened to QUALITY???????

Also bought a residential-grade PW from Kärcher. Plastic Control Head cracked in a surprise flash freeze, well after the warrantee period had ended. Replacement part (injection molded plastic, nothing particularly special) cost 180 CAD. Friendly sales agent informed me that I might do better to buy a new tool in the father's day sales. She was right, but it won't be a Kärcher...

So much for the \premium\ appeal of this iconic industrial brand. Today my nearly-new K1900R pressure washer sprung a leak in the gun handle, after only 2-3 total operating hours. Took it apart - it's a molded plastic valve assembled via basic fusion, forming a seam, at which the failure occurred. Called for warranty service. They were very polite, but utterly useless. Turns out Kärcher outsources their customer service to a 3rd party company, so those people know nothing about the product. Long story short, they offered me a free replacement spray gun, but said the part isn't in stock, so it might be weeks/months. What. A. fail.

Not a great experience when you need parts for an older model. I have been waiting 5 weeks for a simple part and no response... yet payment must be made up front.
