My sister hired Elmo for my nephew's 2nd birthday this weekend. What a terribly disappointing experience. Elmo's costume was extremely frazzled and worn. It was raining out and Elmo left huge puddles all over my home. More importantly, Elmo had no ability to engage the children. I had to repeatedly tell Elmo to interact with the children and adults. Elmo did not talk, danced half heartedly and was extremely awkward for the 30 min visit. I know my sister worked hard to save money to pay for this special visitor and it was terrible! Thank goodness toddlers don't remember their birthdays. I have tried to reach out to the company and they have ignored me. Poor customer service.
