It is my first time trying and first time visit. I heard it is so popular and a must try. I bought three custard cream buns. the original custard, green tea and peach. I personally like the original custard. The green tea and Peach are good. it is a bit costly but with the presentation, the wrapping and the location of the store. it is worth to try.

Fluffy and soft bread resembling hamburger buns stuffed with a variety of cream fillings. I like it a little cooled so you don't end up with a mess; it's pretty good, but too expensive for what you get, in my opinion. - Mimi's Cake Tour

Yummy, but pricey. Good for a treat every now and then.

The buns are great. But the Square One store is closed. The staff who answered the call, her English is not good enough to make this clearly. Their other stores are open but square one store is closed. So don’t come for nothing like me.

We ordered from Uber eats from Hattendo and got five cream buns. They were packaged super cute and tasted really good! The sweetness of the matcha cream bun was just right (just sweet enough) and it was definitely my favourite.

I had heard about these famous Japanese cream buns and had planned to visit the downtown core location... At some point in time. However, I was pleasantly surprised to pass by it within Square One's Food District! A little hidden, with not-the-best signs, it's located near the Pier 87. I had my heart set on the matcha-flavor but at around 7-8 pm, they were sold out! The only two flavors they had left were chocolate and Hokkaido-flavor so I purchase one of each. Both of these were extremely light and fluffy, best eaten after being chilled. Hokkaido is described as roasted green tea - a bit of an acquired taste but delicious. The chocolate one was rich in cocoa hence being semi-sweet only. At 3.95 plus tax, I would purchase more of these specialized treats, especially the matcha! I was excited to try these cream buns but was left disappointed by the hype. The cream filling is very delicate and smooth, not overly sweet so the flavours are more apparent. The bun part of the cream puff is similar to HK style bbq pork buns, but more light and smoother in texture. As can be seen, quality control can be improved by making sure there is a better distribution of the cream filling. There is just too much bun for the amount of cream in some of these samples. Overall, there is potential for producing an inviting product here. As a side note, it is very odd that they offer special pricing for a box of 5, but not half or full dozen. Also, the special multi item discount was not applicable to anything we bought because all the items selected are 'seasonal' products.

Gorgeous texture and flavour. I love the egg salad sandwiches and buns, too. Good hygiene during the pandemic.
