A driver shows up always on days as scheduled. Love the cause. I am very surprised by the posted reviews.

I called to arrange a clothing pick-up and was told that a truck would be in my area in two weeks. I stored four large bags of clothing for two weeks then put them on my porch the night before the pick-up date. The bags were never picked up! When I called to see what happened, I was told that a truck came by my house but did not see the bags. Seriously? There isn't a more visible place I could've put them, how could they not have been seen? The woman on the phone was unfriendly and never apologized for wasting my time. In the future, I will find a more appreciative organization to donate to.

I am offended and disgruntled with the scheduling of your pick up. The date of pick up was suppose to be on Friday April 6th, 2018. This DID NOT HAPPEN, there was NO PICK UP. There was no phone call on an explanation of no pick up. There were 16 bags of women, male clothing and shoes. The reviews online is not very appealing with unhappy donors. The Canadian Diabetes Fund contracts out to Value Village to pick up donations. Now either you people are not well organized or Value Village is not interested and has too much money. I am a diabetic myself and do support the cause, but with this lack of attention of picking up the bags it has made me quit bitter. Now the question I ask you……’Do I donate elsewhere’?

They phone me weekly to ask for items. I booked for them to come on Sept. 29th had the items out by 8 am (!?) ready to go. They never showed up. I phoned after 6 and they a) didn't apologize and b) said it they would pick up the following day (30th). They did NOT show up again, I phoned, they were extremely rude on the phone, not apologetic at all. And it's past the deadline and non one has phoned to let us know what is happening nor have they picked up our items. Needless to say, will not be donating to them ever again, and encourage you not to waste your time either. I will look for other charities that respect my time and my items. I would not be so upset except they haven't taken a moment to let me know what is happening nor have they apologized or provided a modicum of decency in regards to the service that we are helping them with. They are making money on this.
