Great view. Privacy. Lovely clean cabin. Wonderful, interesting hosts. So many nighttime Stars. A Covid19 getaway extraordinaire
This place feels like a home away from home. We have stayed in the bear cabin for going on 4 nights. This was the perfect spot for my husband and I to enjoy our honeymoon and unwind from everyday life. Elke is very easy going and you can see the love she puts into her cabins and the surrounding area. Our cabin was nice and hidden and has an amazing view of the mountains to enjoy with morning coffee, and a great little fire place to enjoy your evenings. Elke provides pamphlets and her own little book of things to see in the area. We went to see quite a few of her recommendations and enjoyed every single one. Thank you for making our trip amazing. We hope to come back soon.
If you are looking for the full wilderness experience, look no further! With your own little private cabin in the middle of the woods, this place makes for a perfect getaway from all the distractions of modern life. If you are lucky, you also get to spot he local wildlife like baloo, the bear that occasionally checks in. The hosts are super friendly and welcoming (allowing us to use their wifi whenever we needed as the connection hadn’t yet reached as far as the cabins). Everything was clean and the experience wonderful, I hope to go back soon!
Very comfortable and cozy! I love all the decorations on the walls in vintage style, gold miners pictures, figurines of bears and wolves, custom made wooden furniture, and even green nice dishes in the kitchen. And, of course, stunning views of the mountains! Just love it!!!
Great friendly owners; cute and cozy cabin; beautiful "rustic" interior; small but fully functional kitchenette (no oven) stocked with cookware/dishes; amazing winter views of snow covered mountains, woods, and wildlife (whitetail deer); good privacy (you CAN see the other cabins if you look really hard, but most of the time it just feels like you're alone in the deep woods) although shared cabin parking area. Very reasonable rates. Convenient 20 minute drive into town with many tourist amenities, dining, and easy shopping for groceries and essentials. Only possible drawback: "free WiFi" not available @ the cabins themselves, but we still had full cellular/data coverage. We WILL be back for a full week next time.
We stayed in Bear Cabin for three nights and loved it. Cozy little cabin. Awesome views. Loved sitting on the porch with our morning coffee and our evening beverages. Nice to have the fire pit as well. Great for two people - the bed was very comfortable. The search for a comfortable pull out sofa bed continues though, for a third person or couple. So many wonderful day hikes in the area as well. A real gem, all in all.
