I found Dr. Gerber to be one of the finest physicians I have ever had. He is very professional and personable, using the most up to date equipment for a thorough examination and treatment. He follows up with any concerns and questions I might have. I prepare for a long wait because I know that when it is my turn he will take the time and be totally present for my health concerns. That is a rarity today.

I have been a patient of Dr. Gerber for over 10 years and consider myself lucky to be in his care. His clinic is large, clean, and comfortable. The staff and nurses are kind and helpful. Yes, it is a busy clinic and they are transparent with their wait times. There have been visits where I've had to wait and others where I was seen right away. Communication is excellent and my questions and concerns are always addressed.
I got in to see Dr. D. Gerber fairly soon after a sudden issue arose which was very impressive as they are a busy clinic. The receptionist promptly called with a visit time and explained the visit process thoroughly. They are calm and efficient upon entering the clinic and were very well organized with all necessary precautions during Covid. As my visit started, the nurse explained in detail what to expect and that I was always in control. This was very comforting. Dr. Gerber himself has a very calming presence, is very gentle, and I felt taken care of as he checked in to see if I was alright. He explained his findings with detail and diagrams, as well as what to expect next. Dr. Gerber and the reception and nurses at Meridia Medical Clinic are all excellent. I would highly recommend this clinic. The appointment ran just over an hour behind, but in fairness, I was told that this was a possibility when my visit was confirmed. For people complaining about wait times, REALLY!?! This is public healthcare, not private!!!! Count yourself as blessed!!!! I've been here several times over the years and have only had good experience. Some people can't be pleased. Perhaps take the waiting time to practice patience.
Dr. Gerber is by far the best gynecologist and one of the best doctors that has cared for me. His bedside manner is a welcome bonus as well. I had a procedure done with him yesterday that I was dreading and terrified of due to previous experiences with other practitioners trying to implement the same procedure. From the front desk being friendly and warm, to the nurses being reassuring and knowledgeable, and finally Dr. Gerber, being the exceptional professional that he is, my experience was far beyond my hopes and expectations. Dr. Gerber made me feel comfortable, and at ease, informed me of all steps being taken during the procedure, gave me feedback, and performed the procedure quickly and with a lot of care. I felt safe, and well looked after. I experienced little to no pain, with the exception of the freezing of my cervix, but even that was a dull uncomfortable feeling and not \painful\ per se. After that it was smooth sailing and the procedure was over before I even realized it. In comparison to the same procedure being attempted by my GP (who is also quite lovely), the experience was night and day. We had to stop mid procedure due to the amount of pain I was experiencing. This lead me to find Dr. Gerber, who specializes in the insertion of IUDs and I couldn't be more grateful for this rare find!
I was referred to Dr. Gerber to have my copper IUD replaced with a hormonal one. My first IUD insertion 5 years ago at a different clinic was quite painful, but Dr. Gerber assured me the process would be much more comfortable. He was absolutely right! A local anesthetic is used on the cervix and this made a world of difference! It probably took about 3 or 4 minutes for removal and insertion. Very quick and easy. Dr. Gerber and his team clearly have a lot of experience and are highly professional. RN Jennifer and Dr. Gerber explained the whole process very clearly and kept me informed about exactly what was happening throughout the procedure. Dr. Gerber goes above and beyond most doctors because he did not just provide a medical service, but through his humor and compassion created a non-judgmental environment where I felt relaxed, understood, and free to ask questions. Emotional intelligence in medical care is often lacking but is crucial for effective patient-doctor communication and quality of care. Dr Gerber is a sweetheart! I left the whole experience feeling better than when I entered. Thank you again to Jennifer and Dr Gerber for your compassion and professionalism.
