This is a family run business the legacy is now in the hands of the daughter( Katheryn )whom ive grown up with. Her talent is absolutely amazing she puts so much passion in what she does what an honor it is to carry on Her Father's legacy to me that is so profound. My first experience at Medlyn was a stained glass workshop, where I got to make my first stained glass ornament! Katherine was very patient and helpful, and really took the time to explain and demonstrate the steps clearly. I had such a great time that I've since gone back for other workshops and had a blast creating new mosaic projects. And of course, I fell in love with a one of a kind stained-glass kaleidoscope that I just had to have! The women in this shop are constantly making such beautiful and interesting things with glass and solder!
I have been a customer for years, as well as having worked there from time to time. This is a family-owned business run solely by women. They have a solid respect for their respective specialties and believe in real workmanship--taking care to make each piece as strong as possible as well as aesthetically pleasing. I have never been disappointed in anything I have bought there, nor anything I have seen made there. A truly delightful shop
