It saddens me to write this, but the history speaks for itself: September 16, 2020 - ordered some elevated foot rests for a wheelchair and Ultimate Freedom (Medicine Hat) said they can get them - yes a special order. November 19, 2020 - Mom's cheque was cashed in the amount of 585.00 November 2020 - I phoned Ultimate Freedom (Medicine Hat) who advised they haven't heard anything. January 2021 - Again phoned Ultimate Freedom (Medicine Hat) who advised they arrived before Christmas. I offered to pick them up and Donnie Rae said "no I will bring them to you at the hospital in the next day or two" and asked where I worked. February 2021 - Still nothing - went to Ultimate Freedom (Medicine Hat) spoke to a man who stated Donnie Rae is on the phone, but I could phone Lethbridge Ultimate Freedom because Garry and Debbie are the owners of both locations. I phoned, spoke to Gary, who asked me to give him a day or two. The reason for the hold up of orders was "COVID". March 11, 2021 - still no elevated foot rests, no phone calls back, no cash back. Garry asked me "which Marilyn because I have five I am dealing with", maybe you still want them - to which I replied my Mom passed away in January 2021 and I no longer need these elevated foot rests. Garry told me he will be coming to Medicine Hat on March 12, 2021, but now there is a "restocking fee" to which I have never heard that before now. Mom maybe did have the paperwork, but I have not seen anything. March 24, 2021 - no phone calls back, no money back, no elevated foot rests. I have to rate it as one star because the system will not let me enter ZERO!!! AND ALL OF THIS FOR 585.00.

After approaching Ultimate Freedom Plus to fix an accessibility issue, they had no sence of urgency in calling me back or providing quotes while I continued to struggle to get in and out of my home. Being unable to enter and exit one's home is a dangerous situation, but Ultimate Freedom never seemed to care either time they were asked to help resolve those safety and accessibility concerns for me, a wheelchair-bound individual. After they were asked to provide a quote the first time, it took them months to finally submit it. By then, the project had been cancelled as I was already living elsewhere. The second time, they refused to return my calls and I ultimately had to cancel getting a quote from them because all the forms were submitted for approval before they got back to me. I contacted someone else to do the job after leaving multiple messages at Ultimate Freedom. The new person responded and provided a quote the same week. It wasn't worth waiting for Ultimate Freedom Plus to finally return a call or follow through with the quote. If you are going through occupational therapy for your accessibility equipment, ask OT if you are able to contact an outside contractor for a quote instead. On both of my dealing with Ultimate Freedom Plus, the contractors elsewhere were more communicative, more professional and actually understood the safety concerns, so they provided the quotes in timely fashions. Don't suffer and struggle with mobility issues needlessly while you wait for Ultimate Freedom to follow through. Ask for other options and advocate for yourself.

Terrible customer service; changing price quotes. At the Medicine Hat business, I reserved (in person) the use of a rental scooter in Jan, for use in July (specific dates). Quote I got was 150 for a month, and since I only needed it a week, price would reflect a weekly rate – about 50. July comes and I went to the business, saying I would call them with when I could pick up the scooter. I called the Medicine Hat number 2 days later and it went to voicemail, both times. I left a message waited. With no response, I went to the business behind Husky again and spoke to a woman about renting the scooter; she said she was only filling in, but Kaitlyn would call me. No call. Later the same day, the owner in Lethbridge called back from my voicemails 2 days prior. He told me they were very busy and the cost to rent for the remaining 4 days was 300!! I told him I was told the cost is 150 a month, how could 4 days be 300? He said Covid changed things. He was rude and antagonistic and said he would allow the MH branch to do what they wanted. The next day I went the MH branch again and Kaitlyn was out of the office but due back soon. I wrote my name and number and left it with the man who spoke with me in the office. It is 5 days later and I still have not heard from Kaitlyn. I have experienced that this ‘business’ has no reasonable customer service and have floating prices for renting their equipment. I will not be renting or purchasing a scooter from this place. I have also shared my experience with the care hope operator my relative lives at and family members of some residents. Be aware of Ultimate Freedom Plus in Alberta.

I have been approved for 369 worth of repairs been trying all week to get them to set the appointment up to do the job and still nothing now I'm worried that when they do pick up my scooter for repairs I will be without a scooter and my freedom way longer than necessary this is the Medicine Hat location... Update after a little confusion and unforeseen issues, I did get my scooter picked up tires tubes replaced, a little extra of cleaning the bearings and some recommendations to get a new scooter, I thank you very much for getting my scooter repaired and back to me in a timely manner
