Beautiful historic Scottish cottage from 1858. English gardens surround the cottage, which is open for public viewing during certain times of the year. Tartan Tea occurs several times throughout the year (various themes, I believe all are Scottish based). The cottage is also open for general viewing, with restored ceiling friezes (painted ceilings). I believe it's volunteer run, so be kind when you visit! Also, they will sometimes have local musicians in playing traditional Scottish music (no, not always bagpipes!).

Joleen gave us a memorable tour and experience. I will definitely return with other Baird relatives in the future...
Very pleasant and knowledgable guide took me around the tiny cottage and shared lots of interesting info about the cottage, its inhabitants and the surrounding area. Lovely cottage with lots if intact history.
We really enjoyed our tour of this interesting and unique historical site. Our tour guide was really knowledgeable and entertaining!
