Matthew River Falls is located in the Cariboo Mountain Provincial Park very near the Ghost Lake Recreation Site. The falls are also known as (Upper) Ghost Lake Falls. The falls can be viewed by an unmarked path from the rec site. Care must be taken as there are slippery rocks and drop-offs. We saw a female Harlequin Duck swimming in the whitewater, during our visit.Ghost Lake and these falls were a worthy diversion off the backroad to Barkerville!
