Check in was easy and staff were courteous. Overall the room is clean, spacious and with a complete kitchen including a full size fridge, stove, and microwave. The beds seem small but are comfortable. I had to give this review 2 stars for the customer service I received this morning at the hotel. I called down to the front desk at 8:33am to inquire about the free breakfast included with our rate. It's a grab and go breakfast. The woman on the phone replies," breakfast finishes at 8:30am" and then hangs up. Three minutes past the time. 3 simple minutes and there was no alternative offered for food items that you grab and go. No coffee or bottled juice etc....and the front desk didn't even stay on the phone long enough for me to ask any more questions. When I am paying just under 200 a night I expect better service. I would recommend using your dollars elsewhere. Somewhere where the staff believe in going further for their guests.

Honestly I love Marriott hotel, but bad experience only this time, pets hair, dirts by the fridge , beside kitchen countertop.

Our 2nd time staying this year since the fire. Upgraded to 2 bedrooms suite and we had encountered no issue during our stay. We loved the suite setup and staffs were friendly.

Normally when i’m in Markham, I would stay at the brand new marriott markham, which is a fantastic property. However, this time i needed to find a marriott property that allows pets. I had looked forward to my stay at Residence Inn. Prior to checkin, I had requested an upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite because I had quite a bit of luggages with me. Wasn’t given an upgrade prior to arrival. Upon arrival, was told that they can’t upgrade me because - I had booked with points (which made no sense) - I had booked for 11 days. If booking is for one or two days, they would’ve considered it. This is the first marriott property that I’ve stayed at that prefers shorter term stays than longer term stays. Weird. - 2 bedroom suite is available for purchase on the app, it’s just that the property did not want to give an upgrade even for its elite members. I do however appreciate the early checkin. Other things that I had noticed - poor/no elite recognition at all - property looks nice from the outside but from the inside it’s dated and might need to be refreshed soon. - pet fee is 100 but no pet amenity given such as pet bowl, dog bed. - agent checking me in was not very friendly. - hotel smells quite bad/not fresh Being a marriott titanium elite member, this is one of the more unpleasant checkin experience I’ve ever had. Note: first time at a residence inn property. Would prefer an element if there’s one nearby. Alternatively, there’s plenty of amazing hilton properties as well.

We truly enjoy our time there at the residence inn, especially with our kids. The rooms was clean, just wished their bathroom mold was clean properly and did not smell. There was a cute little kitchenette, did not use it much. The pool was nice, the kids could play basketball or tennis, we had outdoors seating which was a plus. The breakfast was nice, clean, properly display and the staff is so nice & helpful, but you have to come at a time where it is not crowded. What I like the most is that is that a couple days during the week where there is a meet, mingle, eat and drink in the evening free of charge. Would truly recommend residence inn, well worth it.

Really nice staff, clean rooms and the suites are pleasently equipped with a full sized fridge, dishwasher, and oven. They had everything I needed. No complaints at all.

Convenient hotel and large rooms with all amenities (kitchen, fridge, ...). Pool and very small fitness room. No restaurant on site. And no other options around neither.... If you don't have a car this may be very challenging. There is a bistro in the Courtyard Hotel close by, but average food and poor choice. Poor public transportation around. Taxi is 80 from the airport. To enjoy this place you need a car and cook your food!

Another great experience from Residence. This facility is well kept, clean and comfortable. My room was ideal for my 3 night stay, was clean and provided all necessities. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was well stocked and good quality with above average options for a complimentary breakfast. Evening social snacks were tasty and appreciated. Wifi was flawless, even supporting video streaming. Location is convenient to Hwy 404 and close to a large variety of restaurants.
