We visited during the week and it was a very quiet and peaceful place to learn about the local history. The staff were very friendly and we had a guided tour of the settler buildings which had been moved to the museum grounds. I would highly recommend a visit.

I went here with my 4 year old daughter and she loved it. Not much to see here as a museum but definitely a good place for kids. Museum is a little bit empty and needs more stuff for display. Definitely coming again with my kid considering that it’s just 6 per adult and 4 per child (2-12years).
Great for school trips, anyone who likes museums and are interested in history. Also offers classes here and they have a great pottery studio.
There can be more of Markham like the early settlements etc - but still and enjoyable afternoon especially if the weather is good. We went on a weekend and it was not crowded - a fair splinkling of visitors
Excellent Indoor activities Outdoor activities for young families. The exhibits are just right for babies to 5 years old. The outdoor walk is amazing.
