One of my favorite brunch place for the past 3 years eversince I moved to Markham. We frequent Halibut House every Sunday before for brunch when it was open for dine-in and get their Haddock special best paired with unlimited coffee. Very good portion and quality for the price you pay.

Good price and excellent quality. Amazing fish size and quality. Batter is very good but a bit oily. I have had fish and chips many times but the oil they use here is a little too heavy or greasy.
Let's be honest. You're not going to get world class British-style fish and chips anywhere in Toronto or the GTA, so stop trying. But ... Halibut House is a good alternative. The quality is always very consistent, the batter never undercooked or overcooked, the prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are decent without being huge. I've tried several other places but for quality and consistency Halibut House remains my favourite
