this is a local shop, that used to be very nice, however once it came into new ownership, the prices of candy/pop etc. skyrocketed. also they no longer have price tags on their food/candy, and afterwards i realised i spent 7 dollars on a small pack of marshmallows. furthermore, i went to buy a 99 cent popsicle and then the cashier said it was 2.29 i ended up getting the advertised price. this is just highway robbery. used to be good. now they are greedy. the cashiers are nice though.

Awesome people every time I stop here. Coffee is hot. Great baked goods. Produce and interesting inventory both local and other every day. Thankusomuch. Oh and if you read this far best petrol price between here and ..Calgary Costco. PS Vernon Super Save Gas on 25th and 41st 119.00 On Apr. 23. I always find it cheapest in Okanagan. Overall Mara Foods has got it all. Super clean bathrooms too. Old fashioned store like we grew up. The people and the old history is so comforting to weary travellers. Awesome stop don't miss the free smiles and service.

In September 2020, they had the best gas prices around! If you need some basic convenience food/drink, they have a decent selection as well (including fresh fruit). I had 2 minor issues though... The gas pumps wouldn't accept my payment card, so I had to go inside to pay twice, and as this is one of the only locations with lights in the area, the stink bugs are plentiful (check yourself before getting back in your vehicle).
