I have this treasure of a clock that was a gift to me from my parents in 1977-ish. I am very selective as to who I would trust with its repair. So glad I found Paul at Manotick Clock Repair. I recently took my 1988 Schmeckenbecher chiming clock to Paul for an inspection and some needed TLC. Paul did exactly what he said he would do, for exactly the price quoted, and my clock was returned to me precisely on time. It is now running and chiming perfectly again! I just had my antique clock repaired by Paul and couldn't be happier with the results. The clock has been in my family forever, although it's never worked (in my lifetime, anyway), and I've been wanting to have someone look at it for the longest time. I also didn't want to take it into just any clock store, so when a friend told me about Manotick Clock Repair, I got in touch with Paul and ended-up sending it to him from Toronto (where I live). Paul quickly informed me that the mechanisms were simply 'dirty' and that major repairs wouldn't be necessary and had it cleaned-up and working within a few days. The extra 'touch' was Paul holding onto it for a few more days, just to be sure that it kept working properly. He also gave me a bit of history on it and informed me that it's well over 100 years old and most likely 140 years. Great service, even better rates and a really nice guy to do business with.
