Lovely staff and a beautiful museum. The museum is a community museum showcasing interests in local history and heritage preservation. The museum protects and provides on-site and on-line access to the history of the Mahone Bay area to prevent it from becoming forgotten or lost. The main exhibits are the 1754 Settlement of the area, Shipbuilding in Mahone Bay, Three Churches of Mahone Bay, Local Ceramics Collector Percy Inglis, Settler Families of Mahone Bay, Early Kitchens, WWI.

This is a small museum, filled with displays of the early days of the town. One of the staff gave us an interesting talk about the early settlers. It was well worth an hour of our time.

The tour guide really did a great job. A lot to see and learn. Saw an embalmed lobster in the aquarium; caught in 1977. 20 kg, 50 years old

This is a real gem of a museum. They are so family friendly, I love it! They do a great job of telling the stories of Mahone Bay throughout history and preserving the area's heritage. The staff are really helpful. Their research room is open to the public too. It's a must-see in Mahone Bay!
