I have been coming to this location for many years, I love the food and the people! I have medical conditions that unable me to wear a mask, and have an exemption under the mask bylaw and have NEVER had any issues here until today. I was told that I was not welcome in the store, and that my exemption is no longer recognized. I was asked to wait outside in the cold and then my order was brought out to me. I am broken hearted, I thanked the gentleman for serving me and politely said thank you. I served this country to protect the rights and freedoms of all Canadians, I have to say that I find it very disheartening to see that these freedoms are being used by my own countrymen to discriminate, and trounce all over others rights and freedoms in the name of fear. The mandatory mask bylaw provides exemption for people that are unable to wear a mask, so I see no reason for today to be the day to decide to tell me I am unwelcome now. I would like to say thank you for all of the years of great service, and many memories. I have tried to continue to support you as a local business as you are an important part of my community, I am deeply saddened that you do not hold me and my family in the same regard. I wish you all the best in the future, but I cannot patronize somewhere that tells me that I am unwelcome.

I was around this part of the city and I remembered reading about this pizza joint. So when in “ Rome” as they say. I now understand why some reviewers call this place a bit “ghetto”. Then lights were off and i thought it was closed. But I saw someone inside. So I went in and I again thought that the place was closed because it looks like a place about to go through a renovation. I guess that is it’s decor. No worries. I am here to take out and try the pizza. Pizza I believe should be rated on the crust separately from the taste and toppings etc. The crust is a hit for me. It is reminiscent of a NYC slice and New Jersey pie. It was light and chewy. It was quite enjoyable. The taste was okay. I really wasn’t getting any flavours from the sauce or the toppings. But like I said before, the crust is a winner for me. I had 3 slices ... I was hungry. I tried the veggie, the Hawaiian and the cheese. The cheese tasted the best out of the three. But I did enjoy all three slices. The deal was great. 10.80 for three huge slices. It is hard to beat that. It was also a nice touch to see them put my slices into a pizza box instead of a paper bag. The paper bag method always gets the cheese stuck on the paper bag which drives me crazy. So kudos for this service alone. They don’t cheap out on the take out container like other establishments. I will return to try their subs and beef patties at a later date. A experience for me all the way. Nov 2020 Update: I have returned on numerous occasions and I can definitely attest that the consistency of their pizza is spot on. That is great news. I even tried their beef patty. I am not a fan of these beef patties throughout my life, but I have to admit that it was pretty delicious . So the hype around their famous patties are real.
Keep closing when they feel like it. So this place thinks they can do whatever they want now-a-days. A few weeks ago they just closed for the day, and now they just closed Jan 6-14. I am now done; not coming back here any more. So sad, been eating here for 10 years. This is now 3 times in 2 months I've come during regular business hours and you've been closed. Time for your business to shut-down. What in the world are you doing? Google maps says close at 11 pm, sign on your door says 10 pm, yet here I am at 9:30 pm and your're closed? Very well run.
They offer a vast range of fresh food. I love dining here. The employees are always helpful, rates are convenient and the spot is always clean.
