STILL NOT ACCEPTING CREDIT CARDS DURING PANDEMIC!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!! Luciano's is a very small grocery store, not much larger than most people's living rooms. So unfortunately, staying 2m from other customers impossible. They do cram in a lot of Italian food products that you will not find at major grocery chains. Nice butcher counter to find a variety of their own homemade sausages, cuts of veal, etc. Unfortunately service has dropped over the years. Cashiers hold out their hands waiting for money lol. Smiles are few and far between. You might expect this at chain stores, but not a small family run business. Most shocking is the fact that while virtually every business/store has begun accepting credit cards during the pandemic, Luciano's is holding steadfast to cash or debit only. Given many people don't turn on debit card tap feature (for bank account security purposes), this in effect forces many customers of Luciano's into 'contact' purchases. Not sure what their rational for staying away from credit cards is. Tax purposes? Dunno, but as an Italian, I find it a stain on our community when an Italian business does not accept credit cards. Quite shameful.

Perfect, had what I needed. Can only get at lucianos. If you want the real thing go to lucianos at Preston and somerset ottawa.

Decent sandwich for lunch, good prices and great service. I think the bread Is a little too dry for my taste. Besides that it’s a great little spot to try. They offer way more then just sandwiches.

Lovely little grocery shop. Great deli and butcher counters as well as a fantastic cheese selection. Add to it a wide variety of Italian products as well as friendly staff and you have a great place to shop!

Luciano is the primo Ottawa Italian grocer. Great sandwiches, fantastic cheese and antipasto selection. The only thing they're missing is fresh Italian breads and desserts. There's parking behind the building so no need to worry about getting stuck on Preston or Somerset.
