I went into the store today looking for a white gold band for my partner. I patiently waited while the man assisted a couple who was newly engaged. I watched as the couple were given several options to choose from. After taking a few moments to decide, the lovely couple offered to wait while the man assisted me as they could see I had not been helped yet. When I explained what I was looking for he went to the back and returned with a single ring and said it was the \cheapest estate ring\ he could find. Not being clear on what estate meant, I asked and was told it was a used ring. I asked why he brought me this and he responded with \thats what is more affordable\. That is not what I asked for. I was not even given an option. Even if that was something I decided to go with, it should never have been assumed based on my appearance. Baffled I had just been discriminated against, I let him know I would be taking my business elsewhere.

Sumner jewelry should be called some nerve jewelry! I don’t know why the owner thinks he can determine someone’s financial status by looking at them but he should seriously reconsider his beliefs. He took one look at my friend and brought her “the cheapest of the used rings” when she asked for a new band. Unbelievably rude.
Had a beautiful custom ring purchased from here! Jeff was very helpful and accommodating when I needed it resized. I later lost the appraisal and he was able to look it up for me. Would definitely return for any future servicing or purchases
What an amazing place! Jeff saved my life the day of my wedding when we lost my ring. Couldnt be happier with the service. Great selection too, not your normal run of the mill, everything from a factory kind of jewelry store so many unique and antique items too. I'll be back! Thanks again for saving the day!!!
I don't know why this lady gave them a bad review, I've also never written a review for a business before, but my experience with Sumner was phenomenal. This should be your first jewellery stop in London. I have gone to many places before I found out about Sumner. Seriously, they will give you the best value that you can possibly get for your money. They have a very large selection of rings and the owner is so nice he will really try his best to accommodate your budget. It is a small business and reputation for them is everything. I bought an incredible diamond ring for the best price anyone could ever find, and I couldn't be happier with this purchase.
