Absolutely fantastic facility and unbelievably wonderful staff. I kept going in there regularly for two years after my wife died and they were all so welcoming, I felt at home. The reception the staff gave me for all that time was so uplifting and heartwarming that I will be eternally grateful to them.

Unfortunately my experience was not so positive, my mom passed away this past weekend. It was a horrible experience right from the start. Upon entering the facility after travelling 7 hours we were greeted by nurse escorting us to the cafeteria, while I could see my family at the end of the hallway we were asked not to go down the hallway but instead wait in the cafeteria/common area. Minutes later the nurse cleared us to go down the hallway. Seems after a conversation with one family member we got the clearance to enter the hallway. Although the care for my mom was great not so much greatness for the family as we were all there for the same reason, the passing of our mom regardless of family dynamics or what the nurses and staff had been told it is not fair to speak with one family member but every family member that is present. Remember every family has dynamics and it is not fair to listen and take stock in what is said. Such a horrible feeling when one sibling is pulled into the hallway and given information while the others sit not knowing what is going on! At the end of moms life the nurse entered the room and requested that only a few be in the room at a time, Honestly we all want to be there for the end so we can ALL have closure upon the passing of our mom. Her reasoning was due to my moms family surrounding her with love at the end of her life, we were not allowing the medication to do what it needed to do as she was fighting to be with her children/grandchildren and great grandchildren, she wanted to hold on as long as she could and of course we wanted her with us as long as possible I hope in the future you can focus on the grieving family just as you do the patient. This was the last hours with my mom and I honestly feel robbed due to insensitive staff. Remember everyone has feelings.

My dad has been in hospice care for about 3 months. The staff go way beyond the norm. They are always available to help not only the patient but are so accommodating to friends and family. They have gone out of their way to ensure his physical and mental health needs are always at the forefront. His caretakers are saints.

The staff here, the accommodations, the surrounding grounds, are all excellent. I'm sure this facility could serve as a benchmark for hospice palliative care.
