The folks at London Soaring Club made our Canada Day memorable for our kids. We took them out for the day to get a taste of gliding as they will be entering the Air Cadet program in September and the staff at the club were very accommodating and friendly. Tom is an excellent instructor with a very friendly personality. Little did I know that all the ‘staff’ are actually volunteers! Clearly these people truly love their sport and it is reflected in how inviting and welcoming they are. The tow pilot even managed to fit our 10 year old in the back seat for a ride that she won’t soon forget. If you are in the Embro area, it is worth a drive by the field if you see the planes up soaring.

What a welcoming experience. We were just passing by this weekend heading elsewhere, and saw a glider overhead. We stopped to see the operation. We were welcomed with smiling faces and warm greetings. My two kids and two exchange students that we had with us, were able to touch, and even sit in the aircraft. We watched them take off and land. We were even able to get up close, and talk with the pilots. My kids were talking about it all day. fantastic! Will recommend people go there...
