It was the first day of summer vacation 2018 and my wife found that Fire Station #9 was having a free community, outdoor movie night. We dressed Devon in his Storm Trooper jammies and headed out! No one was there???? I saw a fireman around the back of the building and asked him what was what with the movie??? We got the date wrong!!!! A second later, an alarm went off and we got to see firemen running to their engines and whoooshing out on a call. Devon thought that was really cool. Then, the fireman we were talking to (who ended up being a Captain) asked if Devon wanted a tour of the station! That was so nice! We got to see all the equipment they use and Devon got to sit inside the other engine that was still parked inside the hall. The other engine came back quickly (a false alarm) and Devon got to watch them drive back inside the station and then all the firemen gave him high fives and fist pumps!!!! Our mistake (on movie time) turned out to be the best way to kick off our summer vacation thanks to the crews of Fire Station #9
On Tuesday May 12/2020 while riding my bicycle I was having cramps and chest pain’s so I crossed the street to Fire station number 9 and asked for help. I just want to Express my Thanks to the staff at fire station 9 for all your help.. You guys are Great!
