Unfortunately I stumbled upon Virginia's services and was taken advantage of, ripped off, and feel stolen from. I dropped my laptop off to her on Saturday, to be called Tuesday to let me know that the issue with my computer was a simple fix, no parts needed and it would cost me 200 to fix and that it was finished up and I could come get it that day. There was no communication about the diagnostic of the computer.. I still do not understand what she did as I have my computer back in my possession and it is working the exact way it was when I dropped it off to her (after only giving her half of what she was asking as she told me that it was still running slower than she hoped, and that she would remote in from her location to run a \scan\ on my computer). When I arrived home and tried to turn on and boot up my computer, the screen would turn black and shut off. I called Virginia right away to let her know that the laptop was in fact, not working. She apologized and told me that she would come to my house and pick it up, arranged to be over at 11am the following day so that she could rectify the situation. I haven't seen or heard from her since. I have given up and ultimately feel ripped off and taken advantage of. I phoned a computer repair shop today (no way in hell I will ever trust someone fixing computers out of their home) - when I mentioned what had happened to me and mentioned \Carrie Computer Care\, they actually informed me that I am the THIRD person this week that called in and mentioned they were ripped off by her. DON'T let this lady rip you off too... i really wish i took the time to read the reviews instead of giving her the benefit of the doubt.
My laptop was slow on internet. She told me she will fix that. Re installed the windows and she told me it is okay. I did pay 100 (cash). The laptop was the same. I called to her. She told me will fix remotely. never happened. After that she never answered to the phone. BAD business!!!!!
Virginia is absolutely FANTASTIC! I recently had issues with a refurbished Lenovo business computer that wouldn't run certain software I was trying to install. I spoke with her twice on the phone & asked her questions about it & also my Asus laptop which was giving me issues as well. VERY friendly lady & gave me great advice on what to do over the phone - what other shop would do that?! About a week later, my 4 yr old Asus laptop finally bit the dust....after trying to do a factory reset 2 times to fix the issues it had, it finally crashed & needed to be taken in & have Windows 10 reloaded on it. Virginia not only got Windows working properly again, she also resolved a issue with the onboard speakers not working & in addition she made the computer start up MUCH FASTER than it did before - prior to this, the laptop had been slow to start up, right from day 1. Not anymore - now it's lightning fast! Being a new resident to London & with money being tight, I cannot thank Virginia enough for everything she did for me. And the price she charged me was very reasonable too. I will be dealing ONLY with Carrie Computer Care for all my future computer repair needs, & I would suggest anyone reading this to make the call to Virginia FIRST before calling her competitors - you won't regret it!
