My 8th grade daughter is taking online class. She used to go to Little Mountain class. I was concerned about the adjustment to the new format. I noticed students are actively engaged in learning. She is doing very well with the help of teachers' great feedback. I am impressed with the wonderful timely communication of the staff members.

My two children (aged 6 and 10) attend the weekly English classes at Little Mountain. My oldest child started back in 2013 and I have often wondered how they managed to hire and retain such amazing staff. The teachers: I approach the teachers at the end of each class, and they can clearly explain to me the content of the day, what was expected from the kids, what was achieved and what are the next steps for the following week. In other words, the teachers can assure parents: \this is the direction we are going and this is how we will get there.\ They are thorough and seriously engaged in their role as mentors (they won't entertain laziness), they are intelligent and know how to spark the love of learning. The curriculum: From what I have seen from \Butterfly\ to \Deer\, there has been a lot of planning and thoughtful selection of the reading and writing materials. These are not random grade-level worksheets. The materials are somehow interconnected and each class relies on the knowledge gained in the previous one, without being a bore. They are not repetitive or mechanical drills, but demand more thinking and creativity from the kids. I have seen that teachers also adapt the contents based on the interest of the child, which can be done because the group is small (between 2 and 6) and also because the teachers truly master the topic. Front desk staff: The ladies at the front desk do magic in terms of scheduling and they go way beyond their job to keep parents informed about parent-teacher meetings, a homework assignment that requires additional follow-up, messages from the teachers, setting up student email and google accounts, etc. They are also fun to be with. The management is so smooth and professional that it is a pleasure to enter the office knowing that they have it under control. I can't think of a better place to send my kids!

I have 2 daughters taking classes at LMLA. The elder daughter, grade8 secondary school student, with tutoring class, and the younger, grade4, is attending a weekly regular class. Both of them came to Canada just 2 years ago without any English ability. Truly professional teachers and quite supportive administration obviously have helped them to develop their English so much. Great thanks for LMLA!
