Awesome small town Dive shop/Operation I went into this shop for the first time looking to upgrade my very old equipment and advance my diving certifications. Prior to stopping in here, I had visited a few other dive stores around the GTA. The personal attention I received from the owner, Kris Reynolds, was second to none. I had many questions regarding what had changed in equipment since I had purchased mine and Kris spent as much time as I needed to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. Kris’ passion for the sport shines through. I have mostly been a warm water (Caribbean) diver debating lately whether or not I would get back into doing some Ontario diving. After meeting and speaking at length with Kris he had me convinced. I was also looking for something specific that was not normally stocked, but Kris offered to order it in for me. If you’re looking for truly personal, friendly and knowledgeable service, you can’t go wrong here.

I was very nervous about diving and intimidated as I thought it was a mostly male sport. Kris made me feel comfortable while completing my advanced training and I have met so many lovey women who are also divers. The shop has a wide variety of feminine wet suits, fins, masks and accessories; there is also great products for snorkelers. I have met so many wonderful divers on my vacations while diving. I highly recommend speaking with the staff at the shop and learning more about this amazing pastime.
Such an amazing dive shop! Kris is truly passionate about what he does and it shows. Some could call him the encyclopedia of diving, whenever I have a question he has the answer. I have taken a few courses and joined several charters over the past year and every experience was top notch! Kris also really invests his time into researching the best dive gear available at the best prices for your specific needs. Do yourself a favour and check this place out!

I've had the opportunity to spend some time with the Dive Kawartha Team and I think there are 2 key things to highlight about this shop. Dive Kawartha isn't just a shop, rather it is a community. This is something I find highly important whether you are a new diver or an experienced diver. Finding gear and courses is easy but you need to find a community of friends to explore the underwater world. The community surrounding this shop welcomes all ages, levels and experiences where you're sure to find an easy going group of friends that will help you get going on your diving adventures. My Journey with Dive Kawartha: After returning from a recent diving trip, I had several experiences that made me want to develop certain skills and learn to properly plan my dives and allow me to be less stressed when I got paired with a less experienced dive buddy. I had the pleasure of taking the Self Reliant course with Dive Kawartha. Kris was an awesome instructor! I felt that not only was he checking me for completion of skills but was also making sure that I really understood the material and its application. The way Kris delivered the course also re-enforced the philosophy of Self-Reliant diving at each step along the way which I felt was important. One of the biggest challenges I have is that no matter how many times I’ve done it or practice it I still end up with a fair bit of anxiety for every course I take. Working with Kris, I found this easy to overcome and progress, Kris was extremely approachable and just by talking to him made a lot of that course anxiety disappear. Throughout the course I also felt really relaxed knowing that if there were things I needed to work on Kris would be there to help. I would recommend Kris as an instructor anytime!
Great store with fantastic people, I highly recommend if you are looking to do some scuba training!!
